HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-IN-CHIEF has been pleased to direct the publication of the following Despatch, from the Right Honorable Her Majesty's Principal Secretary of State for the Colonies, enclosing the Warrant under the Royal Sign Manual authorising the use of certain Seals therewith forwarded.

Sir,
I have the honor to transmit to you herewith, the Public Seal of the General Government of the Islands of New Zealand, and the Public Seals of the two Provinces of New Ulster and New Munster in those Islands.
I also transmit to you a Warrant under the Royal Sign Manual, authorising and directing you to use these Seals in the sealing of all Public Instruments which shall be issued in Her Majesty's name, within the said Islands and Provinces.
