Her Majesty’s Customs at the Port of Wellington, from the Sixth day of July, to the
Ninth day of October, 1847, both days inclusive:—

A MALE & FEMALE ATTENDANT
being required for the Native Hospital
Wellington. Persons willing to undertake
the situations are requested to apply at this
Office any day between the hours of 10 a.m.
and 4 p.m. The salary to each of the At-
tendants will be £20 per annum, and a
weekly ration of:
9 lbs. Flour or 12 lbs. Bread
7 „ Meat
1 „ Sugar
½ „ Tea
or £45 per annum without rations.
A man and his wife (without incumbrance)
would not be objected to, if both are suffi-
ciently qualified for the situations. No one
need apply who cannot produce satisfactory
testimonials as to character and competency,
or who is not active and cleanly in habits,
good tempered, and kind in manner. Fur-
ther information as to duties, &c., may be
obtained on application to Dr. Fitzgerald,
at the Hospital.
Required also, an active, steady, and in-
telligent man, to act as Messenger at the
Secretary’s Office, to sleep on, take care
of, and keep clean the premises. Wages
with or without rations, the same as for the
Hospital Attendants. Apply at this Office
any day between the hours above men-
tioned.

TENDERS will be received at this Office,
on or before Saturday, the 16th inst.,
from persons desirous of contracting for the
undermentioned Services, vizt.:
For Cartage on the New Road in the Upper
Hutt District, at per diem, for Horse, Cart,
and Driver.
For Metalling, at per chain, that portion
of the Hutt Road between the Waiwetu Ri-
ver and where the present Metalling finishes
near the Second River. The Metal to be 10
feet in width, with a depth of 4 inches, and
laid on according to specification.

the Survey Office, Wellington.
Tenders to be in duplicate, sealed and
endorsed “Tenders for Services on Hutt
Road.”

Six Hair Brushes
Three Looking Glasses
One Quart Tin Pot
One Pint do.
Two Wooden Trays of sizes
Twelve Tumblers
One Cork Screw
One Small Lamp
Two pairs Large Scissors
Two Drawers for Kitchen
One Gallon Linseed Oil.
The articles supplied to be of such quali-
ty as shall be approved by Dr. Fitzgerald,
the Medical Officer, from whom further par-
ticulars may be obtained.

Holders of New Zealand Government
8 per cent. Debentures, that the Interest
due thereon will be payable at this Office on
or after Tuesday, the 19th instant.
Previous notice of the amount of Interest
due is requested.
