THE Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has refused to grant an Agricultural Lease, applied for by Patrick M'Carthy, of the block of land hereinafter described, viz.:—

CHARLESTON DISTRICT.
A block of land containing seven acres one rood and six perches, more or less, situated at the foot of Daylesford Terrace, north of Brighton, No. 263.

ALTERATION OF ROADS.
I, The Undersigned, hereby give notice that it is my intention to apply to two or more Justices of the Peace at a sitting to be held on Friday, the Seventeenth day of November, 1876, at the Court house, Waiau, for an order for stopping up and diverting the undermentioned Roads, and further, that I have caused Survey Plans of the Roads proposed to be stopped up, and the one proposed to be substituted, together with the Book of Reference, and estimate of expense, to be deposited with the Clerk to the Magistrates and the nearest Constable, Waiau, viz.:—
To stop up certain roads commencing at the Waiau Township, and running in a north-easterly direction to the River Mason, and colored brown and yellow on the plan attached to this application;
And to substitute in the place thereof another road commencing from the said Township, and running in a more northerly direction to the said River at a point more to the westward, and colored pink on the said plan.
