that he has cancelled the Agricultural Lease
hereinafter described, viz.:—

Square 122, dated 1st October, 1874,
granted to Patrick Deare, No. 139; area,
One Hundred and Ninety acres and Thirty-
five perches. Situated on the Grey River,
Nelson South-west Goldfields.

B. Applied for by Charles Schwerer. - A block of land containing Eight acres, Three
roods, and Twenty-six perches, more or
less, situated at Addison's Flat, No. 80 B.

months from the date hereof, to grant Leases for
Gold-mining purposes of the Crown Lands, within
the district of the South-west Goldfields, hereinafter
described, viz.:—
CHARLESTON DISTRICT.
- A block of land containing Four acres, One
rood, and Thirty-eight perches, more or
less, situated at Nile Flat, No. 168 C.

Three roods, and Thirty three perches,
more or less, situated between Sardine
Terrace and Back Lead, No. 170 C. Ap-

PROCLAMATION.
By His Honor OSWALD CURTIS, Superintendent
of the Province of Nelson, in the Colony of
New Zealand, &c., &c.
WHEREAS, by an Act of the General Assembly
of New Zealand, intituled "The Nelson Special
Settlement Act, 1872," it is provided that it shall be
lawful for the Superintendent of the Province of
Nelson, with the advice of his Executive Council, by
Proclamation in the Government Gazette of the said
Province, to set aside out of the Waste Lands of the
Crown, within the said Province, any block or blocks
of land for the purpose of a Special Settlement:
Now, therefore, I, OSWALD CURTIS, Superintendent of
the Province of Nelson, with the advice of my Exe-
cutive Council, hereby proclaim and set aside for the
purpose of special settlement the block of land here-
inafter described, viz.:—
KARAMEA BLOCK.
All that block of land on the north side of the
River Karamea, containing One Thousand
Six Hundred and Sixty-seven acres and
Thirty-six perches, comprising Fifty-eight
sections, numbered respectively, on plan
No. 456 of the Province of Nelson, as
follow:—

Sections numbered 29, 30, 31, 48, 49, 50, 51,
