THE undersigned hereby gives notice that he intends to apply to two or more Justices of the Peace, at a sitting to be held on Monday, the 13th September, 1875, at the Court house, Takaka, for an order for stopping up, diverting, and making the undermentioned Roads; and further, that he will cause survey plans of the several roads proposed to be stopped up, substituted, and made, together with the books of reference and estimate, to be deposited on or before the 25th day of July, 1875, with the Clerk to the Magistrates at Takaka.
PROPOSED ALTERATION OF ROADS IN UPPER TAKAKA.
To stop up parts of certain roads in the Takaka District, which are shown in yellow color on the plan attached to this application, and are more particularly described as follows:—
The portion of road 75 links wide, and marked A.B. on the plan, passing through part of Section 1, of 172, about 24 chains in a north-easterly and south-westerly direction. The portion of road 1 chain wide, marked BCD on the plan, about 8 chains long, passing through part of section No 202.
The portion of main road marked E on the plan, and passing through part of Section 2 of 172.
The portion of the Waingaro road, 75 links wide, marked N and F on the plan, beginning about 1 chain from the north-west corner of Section 89, Square 11, and being its northern boundary for about 16 chains; and thence running in a north-easterly direction about 8 chains across parts of Sections 128 and 2, of 172, joining the main road.
And to substitute in place thereof certain other portions of roads shown by pink color on the plan attached to this application, and are more particularly described as follows:—
The portion of road commencing at a point marked J on the plan, on the boundary line between Sections 202 and 182, about 12½ chains from the north-east corner of the former, and running in about east-north-easterly direction, through Sections 202 and 182, about 16 chains 75 links wide; thence through 1 of 172 along the bank of the Takaka river, about 20 chains and about 125 links wide, to the point marked K on the plan.
The portion of road 1 chain wide in the broadest part, marked M on the plan, about 9 chains long, crossing the Spring Creek and passing through part of Section 202.
The portion of main road marked L on the plan, and passing through part of Section 2, of 172.
The portion of road marked G on the plan, 75 links wide, beginning at the north-west
