THE SUPERINTENDENT directs it to be notified that in accordance with section 8 of "The Education Act, 1863," the undermentioned persons were duly elected members of the Local Committee of Education for Stoke at the annual meeting of ratepayers held at the Schoolhouse, Stoke, on the 11th day of June 1875.

THE SUPERINTENDENT directs it to be notified that it is intended, after the expiration of two months from the date hereof, to grant Leases for Gold-mining purposes of the Crown Lands within the District of the Nelson South-west Goldfields, hereinafter described, viz.:β
COLLINGWOOD DISTRICT.
- A block of Land, containing Four acres, more or less, situated at Waikoromumu. Applied for by Douglas M'Arthur.
GREY DISTRICT.
- A block of Land, containing Ten acres, more or less, situated at Orwell Creek. Applied for by Peter Henderson and others.
LYELL DISTRICT.
- A block of Land, containing Ten acres, One rood, and Twenty-five perches, more or less, situated at the Eight-mile Creek, Lyell. Applied for by Thomas Kennedy and others.
