Superintendent's Office, Nelson,
February 16, 1874.

IT is hereby notified that it is intended, after the
expiration of two months from the date hereof,
to GRANT Leases for goldmining purposes of the Crown
Land within the district of the Nelson South-west
Goldfields, hereinafter described, viz.:—

INANGAHUA DISTRICT.

  1. A block of land containing six acres three
    roods and thirteen perches, more or less,
    situated at Murray Creek. Applied for by
    Patrick Butler and others, Star of the West
    Company.

  2. A block of land containing four acres one
    rood and four perches, more or less, situated
    at Murray Creek. Applied for by Theodore
    Ranft, Reliance Company.

  3. A block of land containing six acres three
    roods and twenty perches, more or less,
    situated at Boatman's Creek. Applied for
    by John Trennery, Albion Company.

  4. A block of land containing five acres, two
    roods and twenty-six perches, more or less,
    situated at Boatman's Creek. Applied for
    by William Lynch, Try-Again Company.

  5. A block of land containing seven acres, more or
    less, situated south side of Boatman's Creek.
    Applied for by Fergus Barrowman, Never-
    Too-Late Company.

  6. A block of land containing ten acres one rood
    and twenty-three perches, more or less,
    situated at Boatman's Creek. Applied for
    by J. W. Munson, Paragon Company.

  7. A block of land containing sixteen acres two
    roods, more or less, situated at Boatman's
    Creek. Applied for by Charles M'Dowell,
    Homeward Bound Company.

  8. A block of land containing thirteen acres three
    roods and twenty-two perches, more or less,
    situated at Boatman's Creek. Applied for
    by Henry Heath, Reefton Company.

  9. A block of land containing fifteen acres three
    roods and twenty-five perches, more or less,
    situated at Larry's Creek. Applied for by
    Richard Cox, Australian Company.

  10. A block of land containing seven acres two
    roods and twenty-one perches, more or less,
    situated at Larry's Creek. Applied for by
    Hugh Graham, Duke of Edinburgh Com-
    pany.

  11. A block of land containing eight acres and
    eight perches, more or less, situated at Larry's
    Creek. Applied for by Alexander M'Intosh,
    No. 2 Company.

  12. A block of land containing nine acres two
    roods and thirty perches, more or less, situ-
    ated at Murray Creek. Applied for by
    Gilbert King, Inglewood Company.

  13. A block of land containing thirteen acres one
    rood and thirty-three perches, more or less,
    situated at Murray Creek. Applied for by
    Patrick Brennan, Phoenix Company.

  14. A block of land containing twelve acres and
    two roods, more or less, situated at Murray
    Creek. Applied for by Henry Cosgrove,
    Enterprise Company.

  15. A block of land containing nine acres and
    twenty-one perches, more or less, situated at
    Boatman's Creek. Applied for by George
    Farrelly, Black Ball Company.

and twenty-four perches, more or less,
situated at Try Again Terrace, Nelson
Creek. Applied for by David Kerr and
others.

IT is hereby notified that the Superintendent has
REFUSED to Grant the Gold-mining Leases ap-
plied for at the INANGAHUA DISTRICT, hereinafter
described, viz.:—

  1. A block of land containing sixteen acres and
    two roods, more or less, situated north of
    Larry's Creek. Applied for by A. Breen
    and others. Morning Star Company.

  2. A block of land containing fourteen acres three
    roods and twenty perches, more or less,
    situated north of Larry's Creek. Applied
    for by M. R. Gissinge. Impromptu Com-
    pany.
