January 19, 1874.

IT is hereby notified that it is intended, after the
expiration of two months from the date hereof,
to GRANT LEASES for Gold-mining purposes of the
Crown Land within the District of the Nelson South-
west Goldfields, hereinafter described, viz :—

BULLER DISTRICT.

  1. A block of land containing six acres two roods
    and eight perches, more or less, situated at
    Giles' Terrace. Applied for by Richard
    Blackmore, and party. (No. 178B.)

  2. A block of land containing ten acres, more or
    less, situated at German Terrace. Applied
    for by C. Brown, and party. (No. 177B.)

  3. A block of land containing five acres three roods
    and eight perches, more or less, situated at
    Christmas Terrace. Applied for by Charles
    Flannery and party.

    and twenty-eight perches, more or less,
    situated at Ballarat Hill. Applied for by
    C. G. Evans, and George Aldous.

  3. A block of land containing ten acres, more or
    less, situated at Charleston Flat. Applied
    for by B. O'Brien, and N. Sweeney.

  4. A block of land containing four acres and three
    roods, more or less, situated at Four-Mile
    Terrace. Applied for by John Fairless.

    less, situated near Doctor's Creek, Quartz
    Ranges. Applied for by William Cook.

  2. A block of land containing six acres and
    twenty-three perches, more or less, situated
    at Nelson Creek. Applied for by James
    Hicks, and others.

refused to Grant Gold Mining Leases of the
Blocks of Land hereinafter described, viz :—

INANGAHUA DISTRICT.

  1. A block of land containing four acres two
    roods and twenty perches, situated at Murray
    Creek. Applied for by Watson Braithwaite.
    Great Republic Company.

  2. A block of land containing five acres two roods
    and thirty perches, situated at Murray
    Creek. Applied for by Robert Kilgour.
    Black Angel Company.

  3. A block of land containing sixteen acres and
    two roods, situated at Boatman's Creek.
    Applied for by John Walker. Band of
    Hope Company.

  4. A block of land containing twelve acres,
    situated at Murray Creek. Applied for by
    Patrick M'Govern. Corinella Company.

  5. A block of land containing sixteen acres and
    one rood, situated at Murray Creek. Applied
    for by Chancey Burgett. Lancashire Lass
    Company.

  6. A block of land containing eleven acres and
    three roods, situated at Murray Creek.
    Applied for by Samuel James. Northern
    Cross Company.

  7. A block of land containing four acres one
    rood and eighteen perches, situated at Boat-
    man's Creek. Applied for by John Deegan.
    No. 1 South Thompson's Company.

Sandstrum, and others, for a Gold-mining Lease
of ten acres, situated at Giles' Terrace, Buller Dis-

published in GAZETTE No. 25, 1873, has been with-
drawn.
