Superintendent's Office, Nelson,
July 6, 1874.

THE Deputy Superintendent directs it to be notified that it is the intention of the Government to proclaim and declare the 9th and 10th sections of "The Nelson Scab Act, 1868," to be in operation throughout the Province of Nelson on and after the 6th day of October next, excepting only that portion of the Nelson South-west Goldfields comprised within the following boundaries, viz.:β€”

Commencing at the mouth of the river Grey on the sea coast; thence by the sea coast to the mouth of the river Karamea; thence up the Karamea river to a point known as the Karamea Bend; thence in a straight line to the junction of the rivers Wangapeka and Dart; thence in a straight line to the junction of the rivers Buller and Hope; thence following the boundary of the Nelson South-west Goldfields to the boundary of the County of Westland; thence by the boundary of the said County to the source of the river Arnold; thence by the rivers Arnold and Grey to the sea coast.

A ta meeting of the Upper Motueka Valley Road Board, held at the Upper Motueka Valley, this day, 1st day of June, 1874, it was ordered that the several works and undertakings described in the Nelson Provincial Government Gazette of the 31st day of March, 1874, hereunto annexed, should be executed according to the specifications, maps, plans, sections, and elevations, also hereunto annexed.
