BOROUGH OF WESTPORT.

BYE-LAW of the Council of the Borough of Westport, made under seal in pursuance of the powers contained in Part XIII. of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867."

The Council of the Borough of Westport doth, by special order, make the following

BYE-LAW.

The whole of the sub-divisions and parts not sub-divided, contained in the thirteenth schedule to "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867," are hereby adopted in and for the Borough of Westport.

Dated at Westport, this 6th day of May, 1874.

IT is hereby notified that the undermentioned Gold-mining Leases are declared FORFEITED, the applicants having refused to execute the same in accordance with the Gold-mining Lease Regulations, viz.:—

BULLER DISTRICT.

No 174B., dated 1st January, 1874, to Richard Pennefather and others, of a block of land containing two acres one rood and twenty-four perches.

No 177B., dated 1st April, 1874, to Cord Brown and others, of a block of land containing ten acres.

No 178B., dated 1st April, 1874, to Richard Blackmore and others, of a block of land containing six acres two roods and eight perches.

IT is hereby notified that it is intended, after the expiration of two months from the date hereof, to GRANT LEASES for Gold-mining purposes, of the Crown Land within the District of the Nelson South-west Goldfields, hereinafter described, viz.:—

CHARLESTON DISTRICT.

  1. A block of land containing Three acres three roods and twenty-three perches, more or less, situated near Argyle Terrace. Applied for by David K. Grewar and others.

  2. A block of land containing Five acres, more or less, situated at Charleston. Applied for by Edmund Sheehan and others.

IT is hereby notified that it is intended, after the expiration of two months from the date hereof, to GRANT LEASES, for Gold-mining purposes, of the Crown Land within the District of the Nelson South-west Goldfields, hereinafter described, viz.:—

  1. A block of land containing Ten acres, more or less, situated at Addison's Flat. Applied for by Michael Carmody and others.

  2. A block of land containing Ten acres, more or less, situated at Addison's Flat. Applied for by John Mulligan and others.
