April 2, 1873.

IT is hereby notified that it is intended, after the
expiration of Two Months from the date hereof,
to Grant a Lease for Gold-mining purposes, of the
Crown Lands within the District of the Nelson South-
west Goldfields, hereinafter described, viz:—

A block of land containing one acre two roods and
thirty perches, more or less, situated at the
Caledonian Terrace, Buller District. Applied
for by Hugh M'Kenzie.

NOTICE is hereby given that the following Gold-
mining Lease is declared Forfeited, viz:—

Lease dated July 1, 1872, to James Keeney and
others, (No. 64 G), of nine acres and three
roods. Grey District.

No. 14 B. Lease dated January 1, 1870, to
John M'Lean, of seven acres.
No. 15 B. Lease dated July 1, 1870, to Peter
Brady, of six acres three roods and two
perches.
No. 22 B. Lease dated October 1, 1870, to
Henry Fahey and others, of seven acres three
roods and twelve perches.
No. 36 B. Lease dated April 1, 1871, to George
Forman, of six acres.
No. 56 B. Lease dated April 1, 1871, to Robert
Oxley, of ten acres.
No. 57 B. Lease dated October 2, 1871, to
James M'Gowan, of six acres and thirty
perches.

Refused to Grant the Gold-mining Lease applied
for by Charles Flannery and others, for a block of
land containing ten acres, more or less, situated at
Christmas Terrace, Buller District.

I, the Undersigned CHARLES HAINES, hereby make
application to register THE ARGYLE GOLD-
MINING AND WATER SUPPLY COMPANY as a Limited
Company, under the provisions of "The Mining
Companies Act 1872."

  1. The name of the Company is to be the Argyle
    Goldmining and Water Supply Company,
    Limited.
  2. The place of operations is at Charleston.
  3. The registered office of the Company will be
    situated at Argyle Terrace, Charleston.
  4. The nominal capital of the Company is £8,160,
    in 816 share of £10 each.
  5. The number of shares subscribed for is 816.
  6. The amount already paid-up is £7,140.
  7. The name of the manager is Charles Haines.
  8. The names and addresses and occupations of the
    shareholders, and the number of shares held
    by each at this date, are as follows:—
