PROCLAMATION.

By his Honor OSWALD CURTIS, Superintendent of the Province of Nelson, in the Islands of New Zealand, &c. &c.

IN accordance with the provisions of the "Marine Act, 1867," I, OSWALD CURTIS, Superintendent of the Province of Nelson, hereby make the following Harbor Regulation for the port of Westport, on the West Coast, and declare that the same shall come into operation and take effect from and after the date hereof.

REGULATION.

No driftwood shall be removed without the permission of the Harbor-master from any land of the Crown upon the sea beach, to the eastward of the river Buller, between the river Buller and the river Orowaiti, and to the westward of the river Buller, between the river Buller and a point on the sea beach formed by the continuation of the boundary line of Section No. 226, to the sea, and any person removing the same shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding five pounds.

Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Nelson, this Sixth day of October, in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.
