NELSON GOVERNMENT GAZETTE.
PROCLAMATION.
By his Honor Henry Adams, Deputy Superintendent of the Province of Nelson, in the Islands of New Zealand, &c., &c.
WHEREAS, by an Act passed by the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Province of Nelson, intituled "The Goldfields Local Revenues Act 1873," it is, amongst other things, enacted that, for the purpose of electing Members of the Board for any district, it shall be lawful for the Superintendent from time to time, if he shall think fit, by proclamation in the Government Gazette, to divide any district into sub-districts, and to apportion the number of members for the whole district between such sub-districts as he shall think proper: And whereas a certain district has been constituted by the said Act, called the Ahaura District.
Now, therefore, I, the Deputy Superintendent of the Province of Nelson, pursuant to and in exercise of the power and authority in me in that behalf vested, do hereby proclaim and declare that the said District shall be divided into two Sub-districts, that is to say:—
Ahaura,
and
No Town,
and the division line of such sub-districts shall be as follows:—
Commencing at the junction of the rivers Arnold and Grey, thence following the southern bank of the Grey river to its junction with Red Jack's Creek, thence by the north side of the road up Red Jack's Creek to Kangaroo Creek near its junction with Red Jack's Creek, thence across Kangaroo Creek and following the Water-shed between Sundry Creek and Blackwater Creek for a distance of five miles, thence in a straight line to the saddle between the rivers Teramakan and Hurunui.
And the Ahaura sub-district shall elect Four Members, and the No Town sub-district Two Members of the Board for the District of Ahaura, as constituted by the said Act.
Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Nelson, this Ninth day of September, in the year of our Lord One Thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.

GOLDFIELDS LOCAL REVENUES ACT 1873.
Superintendent's Office, Nelson,
September 9, 1873.
THE Superintendent directs it to be notified that, in accordance with the provisions of "The Goldfields Local Revenues Act 1873," Meetings for the ELECTION of DISTRICT BOARDS under the said Act shall be held at the undermentioned places at Noon, on MONDAY, the 6th day of October next, viz:—
For the District of Cobden—at the Court-house, Cobden.
For the District of Charleston—at the Court-house, Charleston.
For the District of Buller—at the Court-house, Westport.
For the District of Inangahua—at the Court-house, Reefton.
For the Sub-district of Ahaura—at the Court-house, Ahaura.
For the Sub-district of No Town—at the Court-house, No Town.

IT is hereby notified that the following Agricultural Leases are declared CANCELLED, viz:—
GREY DISTRICT.

Lease dated July 1, 1871, to Peter Mulvey, of Section 91, Square 122, containing Eighty acres.

Lease dated April 1, 1870, to Henry Revell, of Section 6, Square 123, containing Twenty-five acres.

IT is hereby notified that the following Gold-mining Leases are declared CANCELLED, viz:—
GREY District.

Lease dated October 1, 1872, to Ganahl Peruh and others, of Sixteen acres three roods and four perches. (No. 65e).

Lease dated October 1, 1872, to James Graham and others, of Nine acres three roods and thirty-six perches. (No. 66g).

IT is hereby notified that it is intended, after the expiration of two months from the date hereof, to GRANT Leases for Gold-mining purposes of the Crown Land within the District of the Golden Bay Goldfield, hereinafter described, viz:—

A block of land containing Four acres, more or less, situated at Waikarumu. Applied for by Robert Edwards and others.

A block of land containing Two acres, two roods and thirty perches, more or less, situated at the Quartz Ranges. Applied for by Walter Shaw.
