IT is hereby notified that the Superintendent has
refused to grant an Agricultural Lease, applied
for by George R. Brown, of the block of land herein-
after described, viz.β€”

A Block of Land, containing three acres, more or
less, situated at the Nine-mile Beach,
Charleston.

IT is hereby notified that the Superintendent has
refused to grant an Agricultural Lease, applied
for by John Rait, of the block of land hereinafter
described, viz.β€”

A Block of Land, containing fifty-three acres,
more or less, situated in the Township of
Hampden, Upper Buller District.

RULES FOR INTERMENT IN THE DOVE-
DALE CEMETERY.

  1. THAT the exclusive right of burial in any plot of
    ground in this Cemetery be purchaseable, at
    the rate of five shillings per square yard, payable at the
    time of selection of the site, failing which the same to
    remain open for selection.

  2. That no burial-plot shall be less than nine feet in
    depth, nor contain less than four square yards, viz :
    nine feet by four feet.

  3. That no person shall hold more than eight of such
    plots.

  4. Persons not desirous of purchasing the exclusive
    right of burial may cause burials to take place by pay-
    ing to the Trustees the sum of ten shillings for each
    such interment in addition to the usual burial fees.

  5. Applicants for burial plots, exclusive or otherwise,
    can select any spot in any section on application to the
    Secretary or any person duly authorised, who is hereby
    empowered to mark off the same on payment of the
    sum fixed by the regulations.

  6. Each plot is to be staked off at the four corners
    with durable stakes at least one foot above the level of
    the ground.

  7. The holders of any plots of burial ground shall
    observe such rules with regard to enclosing, fencing,
    and decent maintenance of the same as shall from time
    to time be laid down by the Trustees.

  8. The top of any coffin deposited in any part of
    the Cemetery shall not be less than four feet below the
    natural level of the soil.

  9. It shall be at the option of persons using the
    ground for interment to engage and pay such persons
    as they prefer either for the burial service or the
    interment.

Council this Twenty-seventh day of June,
One thousand eight hundred and seventy-
two.
