THE following copy of a Minute of the Waste Land Board, passed at a meeting held on the 24th instant, is published for general information :—
"The Board hereby classifies as Rural Land all land in the Province of Nelson not hitherto classified as Town, Suburban, or Mineral Lands."

GAZETTE IN BANKRUPTCY.
IN exercise of the power in me for this purpose, vested by "The Bankruptcy Act, 1867," and "The Bankruptcy Act Amendment Act, 1868" or otherwise, I hereby appoint that the newspaper called
THE CHARLESTON HERALD & BRIGHTON TIMES, published at Charleston shall, on and from the 1st day of April next be a Gazette for the purposes of the said Act for such parts of the Judicial District of Nelson, appointed under "The Supreme Court Act, 1860," as lies to the Southward and Westward of a straight line drawn from the mouth of the Totara river to the saddle between the Little Grey and Inangahua Rivers.
And I hereby further appoint and declare that, on and from the said 1st day of April next, the Westport Times Newspaper shall cease to be a Gazette for the purposes of the said Acts, for the District hereinbefore defined, and for which the Charleston Herald and Brighton Times is hereby appointed a Gazette as aforesaid.
As witness my hand at Nelson this twenty-fifth day of February, 1871.
