IT is hereby notified, for general information, that
the SUPERINTENDENT has cancelled the following
Gold-Mining Lease, viz:—
Lease dated 1st July, 1869, to G. S. W. HORNE,
Manager Who'd-have-thought-it Gold-Min-
ing Company, of Nine Acres Three Roods
and Thirty Perches, in the District of
Charleston.

IT is hereby notified, that the SUPERINTENDENT
has refused to grant a Gold-Mining Lease,
applied for by WILLIAM C. GRAHAM, for the Block
of Land hereinafter described, viz. :—
A Block of Land, containing Six Acres, more or
less, situated at Giles's Terrace, Buller.

THE DEPUTY-SUPERINTENDENT directs it to be
notified, that in accordance with the Provisions
of Section 9 of \"The Education Act, 1863,\" he has
appointed Saturday, the 7th day of October next, at
12 o'clock Noon for the Election of TWO PERSONS to
fill the Vacancies in the LOCAL COMMITTEE of
EDUCATION for the District of DOVEDALE, and that
the Election shall be held at the School-house,
Dovedale.

to grant Leases for Gold-Mining Purposes of the
Crown Land within the District of the Nelson South-
west Goldfields, hereinafter described, viz:—

A Block of Land, containing Two Acres
Three Roods and Twenty-two Perches, more
or less, situated at Candlelight Flat,
Charleston. Applied for by RICHARD
GREEN and others. -
A Block of Land, containing Two Acres Two
Roods and Fourteen Perches, more or less,
situated at the back of Deep Lead, Candle-
light Flat, Charleston. Applied for by
WILLIAM PATTERSON and others. -
A Block of Land, containing Four Acres Two
Roods and Ten Perches, more or less, situated
at Back Lead, Darkie's Terrace, Charleston.

A Block of Land, containing Nine Acres
Three Roods and Thirty-perches, more or
less, situated at Woodpecker Terrace, South
of Brighton. Applied for by F. W.

A Block of Land, containing Seven Acres
more or less, situated at Long Beach
Terrace, South of Brighton. Applied for

A Block of Land, containing Six Acres Two
