NOTICE is hereby given, that the SUPERINTENDENT has refused to Grant a Gold-Mining Lease, applied for by WILLIAM WILSON, for a Block of Land, containing Two Acres Three Roods and Eighteen Perches, situated at Back Lead, Charleston.

THE SUPERINTENDENT directs it to be notified, that he has appointed
WILLIAM PAGE, and
SAMUEL GASKELL ROBINSON,
to Fill the VACANCIES in the BOARD of TRUSTEES for the MANAGEMENT of the CLIFTON CEMETERY, caused by the death of JAMES BAIRD, and the resignation of JABEZ MARRIAGE GIBSON.

A Block of Land, containing Four Acres, more or less, situated at Darkie's Terrace, Charleston. Applied for by ALEXANDER M'MULLEN.

A Block of Land, containing Four Acres One Rood and Eight Perches, more or less, situated at Back Lead Charleston. Applied for by MARTIN CARROLL and others.

A Block of Land, containing Five Acres Three Roods and Seventeen Perches, more or less, situated at Back Lead, Charleston. Applied for by JAMES WALKER and others.
