Gold mining leases and immigration accounts




NELSON GOVERNMENT GAZETTE.

Superintendent's Office,
Nelson, 21st April, 1871.

IT is hereby notified, that it is intended, after the expiration of Two Months from the date hereof, to grant Leases for Gold-Mining Purposes of the Crown Land within the District of the South-west Goldfields, hereinafter described, viz:—

  1. A Block of Land, containing Three Acres Three Roods and One Perch, more or less, situated at Candlelight Flat, Charleston. Applied for by JEREMIAH CURTAIN and others.

  2. A Block of Land, containing three Acres One Rood and Twenty-seven Perches, more or less, situated at Darkies' Terrace, Charleston. Applied for by FRANCIS FOX.

  3. A Block of Land, containing Three Acres One Rood and Twenty-two Perches, more or less, situated at Darkies' Terrace, Charleston. Applied for by WILLIAM WILSON.

  4. A Block of Land, containing Five Acres, more or less, situated at Mount Pleasant, Charleston. Applied for by WILLIAM WARD and others.

  5. A Block of Land, containing Five Acres Three Roods and Twenty-seven Perches, more or less, situated at Sardine Terrace, Charleston. Applied for by WILLIAM HILL and others.

  6. A Block of Land, containing Three Acres One Rood and Thirty-one Perches, more or less, situated at Back Lead, Charleston. Applied for by DAVID MUTTON and CHARLES PAYNE.

  7. A Block of Land, containing One Acre Two Roods and Eight Perches, more or less, situated at Back Lead, Charleston. Applied for by PATRICK M'DONNELL and others.

  8. A Block of Land, containing Four Acres One Rood and Thirty-five Perches, more or less, situated at Candlelight Flat Charleston. Applied for by DENNIS M'AULIFFE.

  9. A Block of Land, containing Six Acres Three Rood and Six Perches, more or less, situated at Charleston Flat, Charleston. Applied for by FRANK HENNIGAN and others.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the SUPERINTENDENT has refused to grant a Gold-Mining Lease applied for by THEOPHILUS MADILLE and others, for the Block of Land hereinafter described, viz:—

A Block of Land, containing Ton Acres, more or less, situated at Half-Ounce Creek, Grey District.
