NELSON GOVERNMENT GAZETTE.

Superintendent's Office, Nelson,
13th May, 1870.

IT is hereby notified that it is intended, after the expiration of two months from the date hereof, to grant Leases for goldmining purposes of the Crown Land within the district of the Nelson South-west Goldfields, hereinafter described, viz.β€”

  1. A block of land, containing two acres three roods and ten perches, more or less, situated at St. Kilda Flat, Brighton. Applied for by George Cooper, St. Kilda Sluicing Company.

  2. A block of land, containing six acres one rood and thirty-seven perches, more or less, situated at Sardine Terrace, Charleston. Applied for by William M'Kay, Perseverance Cement Crushing Company.

  3. A block of land, containing three acres two roods and twenty-six perches, more or less, situated at White Horse Terrace, Brighton. Applied for by James Hickey and Michael Smith, Hit-or-Miss Goldmining Company.

  4. A block of land, containing two acres one rood and thirty-six perches, more or less, situated at Ballarat Hill, Charleston. Applied for by D. and T. Murphy.

  5. A block of land, containing four acres three roods and twenty-five perches, situated near the Halfway House, between Charleston and Brighton. Applied for by William Meredith and others.

  6. A block of land, containing three acres three roods and thirty-six perches, situated near Brown's Terrace, Charleston. Applied for by Alexander Urquhart and others.

  7. A block of land, containing four acres three roods and thirteen perches, more or less, situated at Daylesford Terrace, near Brighton. Applied for by Buckley Weston.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Sale of forfeited LEASES, which was advertised in the Nelson Gazette of the 3rd May, the Nelson Examiner of the 7th May, and Colonist of the 6th May, to take place on the 11th day of June next, is postponed to Saturday, the 6th day of August next.

The forfeited LICENSES will be offered for sale on the day first advertised (11th June).

NOTICE is hereby given, that Public Roads have been laid out through the following sections of land, in accordance with the right reserved in the Crown Grants of the said sections; and that the said lines of road are more particularly delineated upon the plans in this office, viz.β€”

A line (50 links in width) through section No. 80 on the plan of the district of Wai-iti Hills, and extending westward from the public road running through the said section to the river Wai-iti.

A line (50 links in width) along the north-western boundary of section No. 70 on Square 6 of the plan of the Province of Nelson (Dovedale).

JOHN WALLIS BARNICOAT,

ROBERT BURN

have been appointed a COMMITTEE for the MANAGEMENT of the NELSON HOSPITAL, in accordance with the provisions of the "Nelson Hospital Act, 1859."
