THE SUPERINTENDENT directs it to be notified that a Writ, issued for the Election of a Member of the Provincial Council for the Grey District, has been returned with a certificate to the effect that

IN conformity with the provisions of the Gold Mining Lease Regulations, published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 15, of 1866, it is hereby notified that it is intended to GRANT A LEASE for GOLD MINING PURPOSES of the Crown Land, within the District of the Nelson South-West Goldfields, hereinafter described, viz:—
A Block of Land, containing Three Acres, more or less, situate on the Candlelight Flat, near Charleston, applied for by EDWARD BARBEZAT and others.

IN conformity with the provisions of the Gold Mining Lease Regulations, published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 15, of 1866, it is hereby notified that it is intended to GRANT LEASES for GOLD MINING PURPOSES of the Crown Lands, within the District of the Golden Bay Goldfields, hereinafter described, viz:—

A Block of Land, containing Four Acres, more or less, situate on M'Artney's Hill, Para-Para, Collingwood, applied for by WILLIAM SUMMERVILLE and OLIVER CALDWELL.

A Block of Land, containing Two Acres, more or less, situate at Para-Para, Collingwood, applied for by JOHN EDMUND PRICE and JOHN SHAW, for PRICE and party.

ANDREW ANDERSON and COMPANY, of Westport, in the Province of Nelson, are hereby authorised, under Section XIII of "The Goldfields Act, 1866," to construct a TRAMWAY, commencing at the junction of Cobden and Romilly-streets, and continuing one mile along Romilly-street, and protected in the occupation thereof for a period of One Year, upon the following conditions, viz:—
