THE SUPERINTENDENT directs it to be notified that he has appointed
JOHN FAWCETT,
to be Keeper of the Nelson Public Pound.

DENIS MALONEY is hereby authorised under Section XIII of the Goldfields Act, 1866, to to CHARGE TOLLS according to the Schedule hereunto subjoined, for the traffic therein mentioned, over the Bridge constructed by him, across that part of the Orowaiti Lagoon opposite to his residence, at the bush track to the Caledonian Terrace, until the 31st May, 1870.

For every Sledge or Truck, 2s. 6d.

IT is hereby notified that the Superintendent has refused to grant a Gold-mining Lease of the Block of Land hereinafter described, applied for by JOHN HURLEY, viz.:β
A Block of Land containing two acres, three roods, and four perches, situated in Darkie's Terrace, Charleton.

IT is hereby notified, that it is intended, after the expiration of two months from the date hereof, to grant Leases for gold-mining purposes of the Crown land (within the district of the Golden Bay Goldfields, hereinafter described, viz.:β

A block of land, containing three acres and two roods, more or less, situated at Glengyle, Collingwood, applied for by Duncan Corby and others.

A block of land, containing three acres one rood and sixteen perches, more or less, situated at Moonlight Flat, Collingwood, applied for by George Braddock.

A block of land, containing five acres and three roods, more or less, situated at Adelaide Hill, Collingwood, applied for by George Braddock.

A block of land, containing sixteen acres two roods and four perches, more or less, situated at Doctor's Creek, Collingwood, applied for by William Lloyd (Masonic Gold-mining Company).

A block of land, containing sixteen acres two roods four perches, more or less, situated at Doctor's Creek, Collingwood, applied for by Charles Jackson and others.

A block or land, containing sixteen acres two roods four perches, more or less, situated at north side of Slate River, Collingwood, applied for by Maurice Harris and others.
