NELSON GOVERNMENT GAZETTE.

Nelson, 5th August, 1869.
IT is hereby notified that it is intended, after the expiration of two months from the date hereof, to grant Leases for Gold Mining Purposes of the Crown Land within the District of the Nelson South West Goldfields, hereinafter described, viz :—
-
A Block of Land containing Three Acres Three Roods and Thirty-nine Perches, more or less, situated at Deadman's Terrace, Charleston, applied for by JOHN GIDLEY and others.

A Block of Land containing Six Acres, One Rood and Twenty-one Perches, more or less, situated at Sardine Terrace, Charleston, applied for by PATRICK M'DONNELL and others (Enterprize Gold Mining Company).

A Block of Land containing Three Acres and Two Roods, more or less, situated at Jones' Terrace, Charleston, applied for by JAMES EDWIN GILLESPIE and others (Co-operation Mining Company).

THE Deputy-Superintendent directs it to be notified that in accordance with the provisions of Section 9 of the "Education Act, 1863," he has appointed SATURDAY, the 21st day of August instant, at 12 o'clock noon, for the election of two persons to fill the vacancies in the Local Committee of Education for the District of Motupiko, and that the election shall be held at the School-house, Motupiko.
