All Notifications which appear in this Gazette, with any Official Signature thereunto annexed are to be considered as Official Communications made to those Persons to whom they may relate, and are to be obeyed accordingly.

VOL. XVII. | NELSON, FRIDAY, MARCH 12, 1869. | No. 13.

NOTICE is hereby given, that a Bill will be introduced into the Provincial Council of the Province of Nelson, in the next session, to authorise the taking of part of Sections numbered 1 and 1 of Block 1, situated in the valley of the Wairoa, in the district of Waimea South, the property of Hugh Martin, Esquire, for the purpose of making a Public Road 50 links in width through the said land. Plans of the land proposed to be taken, and Books of Reference, have been deposited with the Clerk of the Provincial Council, and with the Commissioner of Crown Lands at the City of Nelson.

Dated this 12th day of March, 1869.

The Nelson Provincial Council Buildings (depicted) were constructed beginning with the laying of the foundation stone on 26 August 1859, with the first Council meeting held there on 30 April 1861.

The buildings served Nelson for over a century before being demolished on 12 September 1969.
