PROCLAMATION.
By his Honor OSWALD CURTIS, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of
Nelson, in the Islands of New Zea-
land, &c., &c., &c.
I, OSWALD CURTIS, Superintendent
of the Province of Nelson, in the
Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the
power and authority in me vested in that
behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that
the two Buildings now used as LOCKUPS,
situated respectively at the Townships of
Ahaura and Camptown, in the Grey
District, within the limits of the Nelson
South-West Goldfields, shall be deemed and
taken to be two of the PUBLIC GAOLS of the
Colony of New Zealand.
Given under my hand, and issued under
the Public Seal of the Province of
Nelson, this fourteenth day of Decem-
ber, in the year of our Lord One
thousand eight hundred and sixty-
eight.

to be notified that he has made the
following appointments under the "Lunatics
Act, 1868," for the Nelson Lunatic Asylum,

be Medical Officer
THOMAS BUTLER, to be Keeper and Clerk.
GEORGE HODGSON,
Clerk to Superintendent.
