IN THE DISTRICT COURT OF WESTLAND NORTH, IN ITS BANKRUPTCY JURISDICTION.

In the matter of "The Bankruptcy Act, 1867."

NOTICE is hereby given that JAMES HENELLY and ROBERT MILLEN, both of Westport, in the Province of Nelson, and Colony of New Zealand, Merchants, trading there under the style or firm of HENELLY and MILLEN, have this day filed a declaration of their insolvency.

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND, NELSON DISTRICT.

In the matter of "The Bankruptcy Act, 1867."

NOTICE is hereby given, that WILLIAM STRACHAN, of the town of Picton, in the Province of Marlborough, in the Colony of New Zealand, farmer, did, on Wednesday, the twenty-fifth day of March, 1868, file at the office of the Registrar of the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Nelson, pursuant to the 45th Section of "The Bankruptcy Act 1867," a declaration that he the said WILLIAM STRACHAN was unable to meet his engagements with his creditors.

The Nelson Provincial Council Buildings (depicted) were constructed beginning with the laying of the foundation stone on 26 August 1859, with the first Council meeting held there on 30 April 1861.

The buildings served Nelson for over a century before being demolished on 12 September 1969.
