All Public Notifications which appear in this Gazette, with any Official Signature thereunto annexed, are to be considered as Official Communications made to those Persons to whom they may relate, and are to be obeyed accordingly.

PROCLAMATION.
By his Honor ALFRED SAUNDERS, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of Nelson, in the Islands of New Zealand, &c., &c. &c.
WHEREAS, by an Act made and passed by the Imperial Parliament in Session, holden in the Fifteenth and Sixteenth Years of the Reign of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, intituled "An Act to grant a Representative Constitution to the Colony of New Zealand," it is, amongst other things, enacted that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent to prorogue the Provincial Council whenever he shall deem it expedient so to do :
Now, therefore, I, the Superintendent of the Province of Nelson, do hereby proclaim and declare that, pursuant to the power and authority in me vested in that behalf by the said recited Act, I have this day PROROGUED the PROVINCIAL COUNCIL of NELSON.
Given under my hand, and issued under the public seal of the Province at Nelson, this Thirtieth day of January, in the year of our Lord, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-seven.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified for general information that he has given his assent to the following Acts passed by the Provincial Council in Session XV., intituled
"An Act to amend the Auctioneers' Licensing Act."
"An Act to provide for the issuing of Publicans' Licenses in the Gold Fields."
"An Act to further appropriate the Revenue of the Province of Nelson, for the year ending the Thirty-first day of March, One Thousand Eight Hundred and Sixty-seven."
