THE SUPERINTENDENT directs it
to be notified that he has appointed
T. A. SNEYD KYNNERSLEY, Esquire, J.P.,
CHARLES BROAD, Esquire, J.P., and
JAMES ROGER DUTTON, Esquire, J.P.,
to be Visiting Justices of the Public Gaols
at Westport, Charleston, Brighton, Cobden,
and Twelve-Mile Landing.

IT is hereby notified for general information,
that a notice was issued in the
New Zealand Gazette, No. 54, of the 21st
instant, appointing a Building, known as
"Sweeney\'s Bond," situated in Shamrock-
street, at the Port of Brighton, to be a Ware-
house for the reception of Goods under Bond.

THE following Ordinance passed by the
Provincial Council of the Province of
Nelson, intituled
"The Westport, Charleston, and Brighton
Railway Act, Session XVI, No. 6;"
which Ordinance was reserved for the signi-
fication of the Governor\'s pleasure thereon,
having been laid before the Governor, His
Excellency has been pleased to assent to
the same.

Governor\'s Order, No. 82.

IN exercise of the power in me for
this purpose, vested by "The Customs
Regulation Act, 1858," I, Sir George Grey,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zea-
land, do hereby appoint that the Port of
Brighton shall be a Warehousing Port for
the purpose of "The Customs Regulation
Act, 1858," and do hereby approve of the
same as a Port for the importation of
Tobacco.

Given under the hand of His Excel-
lency Sir George Grey, Knight
Commander of the Most Honor-
able Order of the Bath, Governor
and Commander-in-Chief in over
Her Majesty\'s Colony of New Zea-
land and its Dependencies, and
dated at Wellington, this seventh
day of October, one thousand eight
hundred and sixty seven.

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW
ZEALAND, MIDDLE DISTRICT.

In the matter of the "Debtors and
Creditors Act, 1862," and the Debtors
and Creditors Act Amendment Acts,
1865 and 1866," and in the matter of
the petition of PATRICK MULLEN,
of Waite\'s Pakihis, near Westport, in
the Province of Nelson, New Zealand,
Draper, a debtor.


NOTICE is hereby given, that by an
order of His Honor Mr. Justice
Richmond, Judge of the Supreme Court, at
Nelson, dated the sixth day of September
1867, the estate of the above named PATRICK
MULLEN, was sequestered upon his petition
filed in the Supreme Court, at Nelson, and
the hearing of the petition was appointed to
take place on Monday, the twenty-fifth day
of November, 1867, at the Supreme Court
House, Nelson aforesaid, at the hour of Ten
in the forenoon.

Dated this 23rd day of October, 1867.
