Nelson, 14th October, 1867.

THE SUPERINTENDENT directs it to be notified for general information, that on and after the First day of November next, the undermentioned Rates of Pilotage will be charged at the Port of Nelson, instead of the Rates previously advertised.

RATES OF PILOTAGE,

To be charged both Inwards and Outwards.

STEAMERS.

Not exceeding 150 tons, 4d. per ton.

From 150 to 250 tons, 4d. per ton on 150 tons, and 2½d per ton on excess over 150 tons.

From 250 to 400 tons, 3½d. per ton on 250 tons, and 2d. per ton on excess over 250 tons.

Exceeding 400 tons, 3d. per ton on 400 tons, and 1½d. per ton on excess over 400 tons.

Steam vessels entering the harbor more than once during any one year, commencing on the 1st of January, to pay half the above rates each time of entrance and departure after the first.

SAILING VESSELS.

From 50 to 250 tons, 4d. per ton.

Exceeding 400 ,, ,, 6d. ,, ,,

Vessels towed into and out of Harbor by steamer shall be entitled to a reduction of one-half from the above rates.

REMOVALS WITHIN THE HARBOR.

For the removal of any steamer or sailing vessel within the harbor, ONE PENNY per ton, from 50 to 250 tons; and one HALFPENNY per ton from 250 tons and upwards.

COLLINGWOOD CEMETERY.

RULES, fixing the Fees and Payments in respect of interments in the Public Cemetery at Collingwood.

  1. That the exclusive right of burial in any plot of ground in this Cemetery shall be purchasable at one shilling (1s.) per square foot.

  2. That no burial plot shall contain less than forty-eight square feet (12 feet by 4 feet).

  3. That no person shall hold more than six of such plots.

  4. That the top of any coffin deposited in this Cemetery shall not be less than four feet above the natural level of the soil.

  5. That applications for the exclusive right of burial in any plot of ground in this Cemetery, shall be made in writing, and addressed to the Trustees.

  6. That the fee for every interment in this Cemetery shall be Twenty Shillings (20s.).

  7. That the holders of any plot or plots of burial ground in this Cemetery, shall observe such rules respecting the enclosure, fencing, and decent maintenance of the same as shall from time to time be laid down by the Board of Trustees.

  8. That all Fees shall be paid to the Trustees.
