PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor OSWALD CURTIS,
Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Nelson, in the Colony of New
Zealand, &c., &c.

WHEREAS, a Proclamation was issued
by the Superintendent of the said
Province, on the Ninth day of September,
One thousand eight hundred and sixty-two,
prohibiting the killing of certain birds and
animals, specified in the said Proclamation:
Now therefore I, the Superintendent of the
said Province, in pursuance of the power
and authority vested in me in that behalf,
do hereby revoke the said Proclamation, so
far as relates to the killing of Pheasants,
during the month of June next, in the
Districts of Motueka, Pangatotara, and
Lower Moutere, as constituted under the
authority of the Education Act, passed by
the Provincial Council of the said Province.

Given under my hand, and issued under
the Public Seal of the Province of
Nelson, this Second day of May,
One thousand eight hundred and
sixty-seven.

NOTICE is hereby given, that every
person who shall kill any Pheasants
in the Province of Nelson, at any time
(excepting during the month of June next,
and then only in such districts as are
mentioned in the above Proclamation)
and every person who shall at any time take
any Pheasants, in the said Province, for sale,
distribution, or any other purpose, without
special authority, in writing, from the
Superintendent so to do, will be liable to
a penalty of not exceeding Fifty Pounds.

HIS HONOR THE SUPERINTENDENT directs it to be notified for
general information that the Justices' Orders,
dated respectively the 5th day of March,
1867, granting ALTERATIONS of certain ROADS in the Brook-street Valley,
Suburban South, and Takaka, as described
in the application of THOMAS BRUNNER,
Chief Surveyor, and JOHN BLACKETT,
Provincial Engineer, published in the Nelson
Provincial Gazette No. 3, of the 14th
January, 1867, have been CONFIRMED by
the SUPERINTENDENT AND EXECUTIVE COUNCIL.
