HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that the following By-laws and Regulations, made in accordance with the provisions of the 26th section of the "Nelson Scab Act, 1865," shall come into operation on and after the First day of October next, and the By-laws and Regulations now in force, published in the Nelson Government Gazette, No. 35, of the 18th November, 1865, shall, on and after the said First day of October next, be null and void, and cease to have any force or effect.

Each Inspector shall keep up such a systematic inspection of the flocks in his district, as to render it impossible for the disease to exist for any length of time in any flock without his detecting it.

Each Inspector shall keep copies of the Nelson Scab Act, and of all regulations in force, which he shall produce at any time when required so to do by the owner of the sheep he may be inspecting.

Licenses issued in accordance with section 9 of the Nelson Scab Act, shall be in the form set forth in Schedule D hereunto annexed; and in the event of any such license becoming void, the Inspector shall give notice to the holder thereof in the form set forth in Schedule E.

All fees received by Inspectors must be paid to the Provincial Treasurer, at the termination of every quarter.

Quarterly returns, in the form set forth in Schedule C hereunto annexed, must be regularly forwarded to the Superintendent's office, by each Inspector.

Sheep may be introduced into the Province of Nelson from Marlborough, subject to the provisions of the "Nelson Scab Act, 1865," and these regulations.
