Superintendent's Office, Nelson,
August 22, 1866.
HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that the order for the ALTERATION of a certain ROAD, hereinafter described, obtained from the Justices of the Peace, at Waimea, on the 7th day of August, 1866, in accordance with the provisions of the Alteration of Roads Act, 1854, was CONFIRMED by the Superintendent and Executive, on the 7th day of August instant, viz.:—
To stop up a certain road in Waimea-west, commencing at the foot of the spur leading to the Motuere hills, at a point 13 chains from the north corner of section 87, and proceeding north-west 13 chains between sections 37 and 85 to the cross road west of these sections, excepting that portion which is intersected by the new road.
And to substitute a certain other road 75 links wide, commencing at same point as road stopped up, and proceeding north and west 11 chains through section 37 till it intersects the first-named road, thence 4½ chains west through section 87, and terminating at the before-named cross road.
