HIS Honor the Superintendent
directs it to be notified that he has appointed
Mr. Thomas Hunt (Veterinary Surgeon),
to be Deputy-Inspector of Sheep, for the
Province of Nelson, under the "Nelson Scab
Act, 1865."

NOTICE is hereby given, that in
accordance with the "Nelson Waste
Lands Act, 1862," the following Crown
Lands have been reserved for public pur-
poses, viz.,
Section No. 91, of Square 138, Four River
Plain, Matakitaki, to be added to the
Reserve already published on the 11th
August, 1865, as a reserve for a Ferry.
Contents, 42 acres.
A block of Land for general purposes lying
on the south side of the River Buller,
at its mouth, between the lagoon and
the Native Reserve.
Contents, about 50 acres.

Arnaud's Range; on the south by
the spurs of Mount Franklin;
and on the west by Mount Robert
and its continuation.
Estimated extent, 3,000 acres.
Deposit paid, £5.
H. DE LA PASTURE—District of the Amuri.
Bounded on the north by the coun-
try applied for in the Clarence
District; east by a line running
from north-east corner of reserve
towards the north-west; south by
the north boundary of Count de la
Pasture's run, and of reserve on
Hanmer Plain; west by a con-
tinuation northwards of Count
de la Pasture's western boun-
dary.
Estimated extent, under 6,000 acres.
Deposit paid, £10.
G. WILLMER—District of the Waiau.
Bounded on the east by the Waiau;
on the west by a range of moun-
tains; on the north by the land
previously licensed to him; and
on the south by Steyning Creek.
Estimated extent, 3,000 acres.
Deposit paid, £5.
THOMAS HAMILTON—District of Admiralty
Bay.
Bounded on the northward by Ad-
miralty Bay; on the eastward by
Mr. Crichton's run; on the south-
ward by Crown Land; and on
the westward by Mr. Askew's
run.
Estimated extent, 3,000 acres.
Deposit paid, £5.
JOHN GARNES and EDWARD LAKE—Dis-
trict of Croixelles.
Bounded on the northward by
Croixelles Harbor; on the east-
ward by Croixelles Harbor and
Native Reserves; westward by
Mr. Mackay's run; and extend-
ing southward so as to include
3,000 acres.
Deposit paid £5.
