NOTICE is hereby given, that the undermentioned Leases have been declared FORFEITED, the respective Lessees having failed to carry out the conditions thereof.

The Superintendent of the Province of Nelson. Thomas Ridge Hackett. 1859. April 5. A Block of Land below high water mark in the Nelson Haven, having a frontage of 50 feet to the Haven Road.
Charles Balme April 5. A Block of Land below high water mark in the Nelson Haven, having a frontage of 95 feet to the Haven Road.
John Lewthwaite April 5. A Block of Land below high water mark in the Nelson Haven, having a frontage of 200 feet to the Haven Road.
John Andrew Jacobsen April 5. A Block of Land below high water mark in the Nelson Haven, having a frontage of 32 feet to the Haven Road.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that the Order, granted in accordance with the provisions of the "Alteration of Roads Act, 1854," by the Justices at Motueka, dated 25th day of March, 1865, for the alteration of a Road in the Moutere District, as described in the application of C. H. BENSEMAN, published in the Nelson Gazette, No. 4, of the 2nd of February, 1865, has been confirmed by the Superintendent and Executive Council.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that, in accordance with the provisions of the 9th section of the "Education Act, 1863," he has appointed MONDAY, the 17th day of MAY instant, at TWELVE o\'clock noon, for the election of three Members of the Local Committee for the District of Waimea West, in place of Messrs. F. H. BLUNDELL, N. G. MORSE, and PAUL SPANGER, whose seats in the said Committee have become vacant, and that the election shall be held at the Upper School-house, Waimea West.

I HEREBY certify that WILLIAM WESTBROOKE SQUIRES has this day produced before me his Diploma from the Royal College of Surgeons, England, and also his Diploma from the Royal College of Edinburgh, and has thereby qualified himself as a Medical Practitioner under the ordinance of the Provincial Council of New Munster Session I., No. 2, passed the 18th May, 1849, intituled "An Ordinance to define the Qualifications and to provide for the Remuneration in certain cases of Medical Practitioners."
