All Public Notifications which appear in this Gazette, with any Official Signature thereunto annexed, are to be considered as Official Communications made to those Persons to whom they may relate, and are to be obeyed accordingly.

By his Honor JOHN PERRY ROBINSON, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Nelson, in the Islands of New Zealand, &c., &c., &c.
WHEREAS by an Act passed by the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled \"The Gold-fields Act, 1862,\" it is enacted that \"it shall be lawful for the Governor at any time subsequent to the Proclamation of a Gold-field, to reserve or withdraw for purposes of sale any Waste Land or Lands within any portion of a Gold-field over which a pastoral license does not exist, or has been cancelled or suspended, and which he may deem necessary for settlement, public purposes, or roads.\" AND WHEREAS by an instrument under the hand of his Excellency the Governor and the Seal of the Colony, bearing date the Fifteenth day of September, 1863, the above mentioned powers were delegated to me as Superintendent of the Province of Nelson to have, hold, and exercise within the said Province :
Now, therefore, I, the Superintendent of the Province of Nelson do hereby withdraw for purposes of sale the undermentioned Lands in Golden Bay, viz :β
The whole of Town and Suburban Sections of Milnthorpe;
Sections 70 and 71, Square II, Takaka;
and
Sections 117, 118, and 119, Square 14, Aorere.
Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province at Nelson, this Twenty-fourth day of October, in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and sixty-four.
