PROCLAMATION.

By his Honor JOHN PERRY ROBINSON,
Esquire, Superintendent of the Province
of Nelson, in the Islands of New
Zealand, &c., &c., &c.

WHEREAS by an Act of the
Imperial Parliament, passed in the
Session holden in the fifteenth and sixteenth
years of the reign of Her Majesty Queen
Victoria, cap. 72, intituled "An Act to grant
a Representative Constitution to the Colony
of New Zealand," it is enacted that it shall
be lawful for the Superintendent of any Pro-
vince established by the said Act, by procla-
mation in the Government Gazette, to fix
such place or places within the limits of the
Province, and such times for holding any
Session of the Provincial Council as he may
think fit, and from time to time in manner
aforesaid to alter and vary such times and
places as he may judge advisable and most
consistent with general convenience :

Now, therefore, I, the Superintendent of
the Province of Nelson, in pursuance of the
power and authority in me vested, do hereby
proclaim and appoint that the Provincial
Council of Nelson, shall meet at the
PROVINCIAL HALL, Nelson, on
Tuesday, the TWENTY-NINTH day of SEP-
TEMBER instant, at One o'Clock, p.m.

Given under my hand, and issued under
the Public Seal of the Province, at
Nelson, this Third day of September,
in the year of our Lord One thousand
eight hundred and sixty-three.

THE Superintendent directs it to
be notified that a BONUS of TWO
THOUSAND POUNDS (Β£2,000), or such
other lesser amount as hereinafter specified,
will be given to the Discoverer of a
Payable Gold-field within the Province
of Nelson, upon the conditions and with the
exceptions following :β€”
