IN accordance with the Provisions of the Land Regulations of February 15, 1860, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the undermentioned sections of land are withdrawn from sale, viz:

No. 6 of Square No. 5, Tadmor Valley.
Nos. 144 to 188 inclusive, of Square No. 90, on the banks of the Hurunui.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the undermentioned ALLOTMENTS of LAND will be put up to PUBLIC AUCTION at the Crown Land Office, Nelson, on SATURDAY, the 3rd day of October, 1863, at Twelve o'clock noon.

Ten per cent. of the purchase money to be deposited at the Sale, and the remainder to be paid within one month, or the deposit forfeited.

The Nelson Provincial Council Buildings (depicted) were constructed beginning with the laying of the foundation stone on 26 August 1859, with the first Council meeting held there on 30 April 1861.

The buildings served Nelson for over a century before being demolished on 12 September 1969.
