The Amounts which have been paid, but not voted, are £199 6s. 0d. to the Nelson and Motueka Road Board, being the amount paid for Tickets in those districts, under the Dog Act of 1859, and authorised by the same Act, to be re-paid to the Road Boards, and £573 1s. 5d. to the General Government, being the balance of Surplus Revenue and separate accounts.

The statement of the Assets and Liabilities of the Province accompanying this report, is in the form dictated by the General Government.

  • The Amount borrowed on Debentures by the Province of Nelson is £29,000 payable in the year 1870, but by the Nelson and Marlborough Public Debt Apportionment Act, the sum of £7,500 was made payable by the Province of Marlborough.
