J. Mackay, and included in the following boundaries. Commencing at the junction of the River Warwick with the River Maruia, thence in a north-easterly direction by the said River Warwick for three miles, thence south by forest land to Cannibal's Gorge, thence crossing the Maruia and proceeding S.S.W. by the edge of the forest land to the Ruhu Stream, thence bounded by the forest land extending from the Ruhu Stream to the Victoria Range, and continuing along the foot of the Victoria Range to the point where the River Warwick falls into the Maruia.
Estimated extent, 10,000 acres.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN,
that under the powers given by Section 7, of the Education Act, the undermentioned Educational Districts are hereby altered and re-constituted as follows :β

District of Waimea East is hereby constituted two Districts, to be named respectively the Richmond District and the Hope District, and the division line between them shall be the Appleby Trunk Road (and its continuation by Wensley Hill to the Eastern extremity of the District) as far as Mercer's Corner; thence by the road at right angles towards the Waimea River as far as the next cross-road, and then by that cross-road to the river.

The Moutere District is hereby divided into two Districts, to be called the Districts of Upper and Lower Moutere; the division between them to be a line running at right angles to the Trunk Road line equidistant from the two schools.

The Takaka District is hereby divided into two Districts, to be called the Districts of Motupipi and Takaka, and the division line between them shall be the Motupipi River for one mile from the old Ferry-house at its entrance upwards, and thence in a straight line, due south to the hills.
