I have now the honor to inform you that I have, on behalf of the Governor, given my assent to the following Acts, namely:—

An Act to provide for the payment of the auditor of the public accounts of the province of Nelson.

An Act to authorise the Superintendent to let the Government Wharf at the Port of Nelson, and to make provision for the management of the same.

An Act to further amend the "Education Act, 1856."

An Act to amend the Auctioneers' Licensing Act, 1858.

An Act to prohibit the laying of Poison in the populated districts of the Province of Nelson.

An Act to repeal the Fencing Ordinance, and to make other provisions in lieu thereof.

An Act to make provision for the abatement of the Dog Nuisance.

An Act to amend the Nelson Improvement Act, 1856.

An Act to Appropriate the Revenue of the Province of Nelson for the year ending thirty-first day of March, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three.

And I have reserved for His Excellency's assent:

An Act to authorise the Superintendent of the Province of Nelson to raise a Loan not exceeding five thousand pounds, for the purpose of erecting and furnishing a Lunatic Asylum, and to authorise the appointments of the necessary officers for the management thereof.

I now declare this Council to be prorogued, and it stands prorogued accordingly.

Crown Land Office, Nelson, on SATURDAY, the 16th August, 1862, at Twelve o'clock, noon.

Ten per cent. of the purchase money to be deposited at the Sale, and the remainder to be paid within one month, or the deposit forfeited.
