APPLICATIONS FOR DEPASTURAGE LICENSES, in accordance with the Regulations under the Waste Lands Act, 1858, received by the Commissioner of Crown Lands during the Month of MAY, 1862.

W. WATERS and J. CARTER—District, the Grey.
Bounded on the northward and southward, by bush; eastward, by mountain ranges; westward, by the River Inangahua; being the grass flats on the banks of the Inangahua.
Extent, under 20,000 acres.
Deposit paid, £30.

Messrs. WHITE and RICKETTS—District, Tarndale.
Situate between the west end of the Government Reserve at Tarndale (the Reserve at the Upper Wairau) and Lake Tennyson, including the valley known as the Island or Highland Valley.
Estimated extent, 3,000 acres.
Deposit paid, £5.

J. LEWTHWAITE—District, the Buller.
All that open land described in the Government plan of the District as a rushy plain, and bounded on or towards the north by bush land occupying the south bank of the River Buller; east, by the Paparua Range; south, by bush land again and a line which bears east and west, communicating with other open land described as Taranaki fern land; and west, by bush and the Wharo Wharo Creek.
Estimated extent, 10,000 acres, and known by the native name of Te Kora a Tomitea.
Deposit paid, £15.

C. and G. R. KEENE—District, the Clarence.
Bounded on the north by the boundary of the Province, being a straight line from the source of the Conway to the junction of the Clarence and Acheron; west, by Mr. Carter's Run and Mr. Tinline's or the Count de la Pasture's application; cast, by the Conway; south, partly by Mr. H. Williams' application, partly by own boundary and the remainder of the limit of available country.
Estimated extent, under 20,000 acres.
Deposit paid, £30.
