IN accordance with the provisions
of the Land Regulations of the 15th
February 1860, clause 5,

NOTICE is hereby given that the un-
dermentioned portion of the Waste Lands of
the Crown within the Province of Nelson
has been Reserved for the purpose of village
sites and suburban sections.

A Block of Land situated in the Districts
of Wangapeka and Upper Motueka, being
part of the Run held under a Depasture
License issued to E. W. Stafford, 1st January,
1854, and bounded as follows:—

On the northward, by the summit of the
range of hills between the rivers Wan-
gapeka and Baton; on the eastward, by
the rivers Motueka and Motupiko; on
the southward, partly by the northern
boundary of the Run held by Mr. John
Kerr, and a continuation of the same
boundary line across the River Wanga-
peka to the summit of the hills on the
west of the said river; and on the west-
ward, by the summit of the hills on the
west of the River Wangapeka.

APPLICATIONS FOR DEPASTUR-
AGE LICENSES, in accordance with
the Regulations under the Waste Lands
Act, 1858, received by the Commissioner
of Crown Lands during the months of
MAY and JULY, 1861.

HENRY DWYER—District, Mokatapu.

Being a portion of the Mokatapu
Mountain, under three thousand
acres, being all that is available
of the same for pasture, for the
purpose of a sheep Run, bounded
by the North and South Maitai.
Deposit paid, £5.

THOMAS ASKEW—District, Pelorus.

Boundaries—On the north, by Cook's
Strait; on the south, by Fitzroy
Bay and Tauhitinui Reach; on
the east, by Waitata Reach and
Pelorus Sound; on the west, by
a saddle from Fitzroy Bay over
to a bay (not yet surveyed on the
Admiralty Charts) to the north-
east entrance of the French Pass.
Estimated extent, under 10,000
acres.
Deposit paid, £15.

NOTICE TO MARINERS.
QUEEN CHARLOTTE'S SOUND.

A Black Buoy surmounted by a
Red Beacon, with "Luke Rock"
painted thereon, has been placed (temporary)
off the Rock bearing that name. The Buoy
bears (mag:) as follows:—

From Point Dieffenbach N.W.—½N.—1 mile
Points forming { East, S.W. ½ W.
Fly Bay, { West, E. ⅜ S.
Bearing off Luke Rock from Buoy N.W.
about ½ mile.

This Rock being of great extent, strangers
are cautioned against standing into Fly Bay,
between the Buoy and the bearings given.
