the south extremity of the said
east boundary of the said license;
east, by the Wai Iti river to the
foot of the range; north, by a
curved line, skirting the bush,
drawn from the Wai Iti river to
Spooner's range.
Estimated extent, 3,000 acres.

GEORGE EDWARDS—District, the Grey and
Wai-au-ua.
Being for the small level plain lying
between the supposed River Grey
and the Wai-au-ua, and from 6
to 10 miles from the southward
of the "Henry;" bounded for
about 2 miles on westward by
the supposed Grey and forest
land, and extending to the Wai-
au so as to include the whole of
the plain and such available land
as not to exceed 3,000 acres.

ALTERATION OF ROADS.

THE undersigned hereby gives no-
tice, that he intends to APPLY to two
or more Justices of the Peace having juris-
diction within the Province of Nelson, at a
sitting to be held on MONDAY, the 11th
day of March now next, at the Court House,
Richmond, for an ORDER for STOPPING
UP the undermentioned ROADS; and fur-
ther that he will cause a Survey Plan of the
Roads proposed to be stopped up, together
with a Book of Reference and Estimate, to
be deposited, on or before the 28th day of
January next, with the Clerk to the Magis-
trates at Richmond, and with Mr. GEORGE
WALKER, Constable for Waimea West.
To stop up a certain road in Waimea-west,
commencing at the north corner of Sec-
tion 119, and proceeding 66 chains in a
south-west direction, 35 chains west-
north-west, between Sections 137, 138,
140, and 5. Also that road, 34½ chains
long, lying between Sections 5 and 7,
commencing at the south corner of
Section 7, and terminating at its western
corner.

I HEREBY certify that FRANCIS
WEMYSS IRVINE has this day produced
before me a Diploma as Doctor of Medicine,
from the University of Edinburgh, and also
his Diploma from the Royal College of Sur-
geons, Edinburgh, and has thereby qualified
himself as a Medical Practitioner, in terms
of the Ordinance Session 1, No. 2, of the
Province of New Munster, intituled "An
ordinance to define the Qualifications and to
provide for the remuneration in certain
cases of Medical Practitioners."

Married; wife and fourchildren in Belgium.
Left Europe, in September, 1854, as an
officer of the Belgian vessel Petronille, Van
Hornbortel, master, date of arrival in the
Colony unknown.
