of the Waste Land Regulations of the 15th

ALTERATION OF ROADS.
NOTICE is hereby given; that APPLI-
CATION is intended to be made to the Pro-
vincial Council of Nelson, at its next session, to pass
an Ordinance authorizing the Alteration of Roads spe-
cified below; the application for an order for such al-
teration made by the undersigned, on the 7th day of
May last, to the Justices of the Peace at Richmond,
having failed, in consequence of one-sixth of the parties
affected thereby having objected thereto.

To stop up parts of a certain road in Waimea
East, commencing at the cross roads at the W.
corner of Section 59, and going S.E. 20½ chains,
between Sections 58 and 59; thence 38 chains S.
through Section 2 of 1, and there terminating;
excepting a small portion of the first-named part,
where the proposed road will intersect the said
road.

And to substitute a road, 50 links wide, com-
mencing on the E. side of the public road,
passing along the W. side of Section 59, at 9½
chains from the W. corner of the said Section,
and proceeding 7 chains S.E., and 45 chains S.,
through Sections 59 and 2 of 1, to the ridge of
the hills; thence 20 chains S.S.E., and 13 chains
E., through Sections 2 of 1, and ending
at the termination of the road proposed to be
stopped up.

LICENSES, in accordance with the Regula-
tions under the Waste Lands Act, 1858, received by
the Commissioner of Crown Lands during the month
of November, 1860.

William Collins . . District—Tasman Bay.
Adjoining the northern boundary
of his former application; in-
closed by an imaginary line
drawn from Graham's Point to
Mount Castor; the main range
from Mount Castor to Cape
Soucis, and the coast line from
Cape Soucis to Graham's
Point.
Estimated extent—1,500 acres.
Deposit paid—£5.

H. B. Huddleston . District—the Grey.
For all that block of grass and
open land situate on both sides
of the Te Wharau, or its tri-
butaries which flow from the
eastward into the Inangahua,
and comprising all the avail-
able country in that valley
(Te Wharau), between its
source and the junction with
the Inangahua.
Estimated extent—about 10,000
acres.
Deposit paid—£15.

George Thomson . . District—the Grey.
All that grass and available coun-
try situate on both banks of the
River Otututu, a tributary of
the Grey, situate twenty-six
miles in a straight line from
the mouth of the Grey, and
one mile from the junction of
the Mawhera-iti with the Grey,
beginning at the junction of
the Otututu with the Grey, and
extending about nine miles up
that river.
Estimated area — under 6,000
acres.
Deposit paid—£10.

George Thomson . . Districts—the Grey and Buller.
That portion of the waste lands
of the Crown situated in the
Grey and Buller districts of
the West Coast, bounded as
follows :— On the north by
Mount Gore and bush; on the
west, by bush; on the east
by the central range bounding
the Grey district, running
north and south; and on the
south, by bush, comprising all
the grass and available country
on both banks of the Rivers
Mangahua and Waituhu before
their junction.
Estimated extent—under 20,000
acres.
Deposit paid—£30.
