Waimea South, November 6th, 1858.

I, THE undersigned, JOHN VERRY, of Waimea South, in the Province of Nelson, New Zealand, farmer, hereby give Notice, that I intend to APPLY to two or more Justices of the Peace, having jurisdiction in the said province, at a meeting to be held on MONDAY, the 20th day of December now next, at the Court House, Richmond, for an ORDER for STOPPING UP and DIVERTING the under-mentioned ROAD: And I hereby give further notice that I will cause a survey plan of the road proposed to be stopped up, and of the road proposed to be substituted for the same, together with a book of reference, and estimate, to be deposited on or before the 6th day of this present November, with the Clerk to the Magistrates, and with Mr. THOMAS ANDREWS, Constable of this district :—

To stop up part of a certain road in the district of Waimea South, passing through Sections 77, 78, and 79, commencing at the eastern corner of Section 77, and proceeding 19 chains in a westerly direction through Section 77, thence 18 chains in a south-west direction through Section 78, and thence 19 chains in a south-south-west direction through Section 79 to the south corner of the said Section, and there terminating.

And to substitute in the place thereof a certain road, 60 links wide, commencing at the same point as the road proposed to be stopped up, and proceeding 24½ chains in a south-west direction along the south-east end of Sections 77 and 78, thence for 6 chains in a west direction, and for 6 chains in a south-west direction, through Section 78, thence for 5 chains in a south-south-west direction, and thence for 13½ chains in a south-west direction through Section 79 to the south corner of the said Section, and there terminating.
