PROCLAMATION.
By his Honor JOHN PERRY ROBINSON,
Esquire, Superintendent of the Province
of Nelson, in the Islands of New Zealand.
I, THE SUPERINTENDENT of the
Province of Nelson, do hereby proclaim
that the undermentioned additional Allot-
ments of Land will be put to Auction at
the Crown Land Office, Nelson, on THURS-
DAY, the 14th day of May, 1857, immediately
after the Lands enumerated in Proclamation
dated 9th April, 1857.
Ten per cent. of the purchase money may
be deposited at the sale, and the remainder
paid within one month or the deposit forfeited.

HIS HONOR the Superintendent directs it to
be notified that the under-mentioned
portions of the Waste Lands of the Crown
within the Province of Nelson, as hereinafter
described, have been reserved for the purpose
of laying out a Township, to be called
COLLINGWOOD, and other purposes of public
utility, viz.,
A block of land situate at Massacre Bay,
bounded on the north-east by the sea, on
the west by the river Aorere, on the south
by section No. 99, and by a line from the
north-west corner of the said section to
the southern corner of section No. 182,
excepting sections already sold.
Also, a block of land, containing 50 acres or
thereabouts, situated on the southern
shore of West Wanganui, as a site for a
Village.

PROCLAMATION.
By his Excellency Colonel THOMAS GORE
BROWNE, Companion of the most Honour-
able Order of the Bath, Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, &c., &c.
WHEREAS, by an Ordinance enacted by
the Governor of New Zealand, with
the advice and consent of the Legislative
Council, \"Session III., No. 1, intituled \"An
Ordinance for establishing a Supreme Court,\"
the Governor of New Zealand is empowered,
with the advice of the Executive Council, by
Proclamation from time to time to divide the
Colony into Districts for the purposes of the
said recited Ordinance, and the limits of such
Districts from time to time to alter, as occasion
may require:
And whereas the said Colony is now divided
into two Districts, called respectively the
Northern District and the Southern District:
And whereas, by the said recited Ordinance,
the Governor is also empowered to assign to
each of such Districts a Judge or Judges who
shall have within the same all the powers
and jurisdiction thereby given to the Supreme
Court:
Now, therefore, I, the Governor, in pur-
suance of such authority, do hereby proclaim
and declare that I have assigned to the
Southern District
SIDNEY STEPHEN, Esquire,
Chief Justice of the said Court, to have and
exercise therein the said powers and jurisdic-
tion on and after the first of April now ensuing,
