HIS HONOUR the Superintendent directs it to be notified that the undermentioned portion of Town Section 184, hereinafter described, has been RESERVED as a Road, viz. :β
A block of land, 30 feet wide, along the western boundary of Section No. 185, town of Nelson, leading from Shakspeare-walk to Halifax-street.

IT is hereby notified for general information, that the ORDERS of the Justices of the Peace, dated Twenty-seventh day of July, 1857, for the ALTERATION of the following Roads, viz. :β
- A Road in the Suburban-north district,
- A Road in the Suburban-south district,
- A Road in the Waimea-east district,
as the said alterations were defined in the notice of the Principal Surveyor, dated the Ninth day of June, 1857, have been CONFIRMED by the Superintendent and Executive Council.

THE COMMISSIONERS appointed under the Compensation Act of the Provincial Council of Session IV., No. 1, to inquire into and report upon the Claims of persons resident in the Province of Nelson for Compensation for Losses and Damages sustained by them in respect of the non-fulfilment of its contracts by the New Zealand Company, Hereby give Notice, that they are now prepared to receive the claims aforesaid; and that, in accordance with clause 4 of the Act above mentioned, no claims will be entertained by the Commissioners unless the same shall be sent into them, at the Office of Mr. KINGDON, Trafalgar-street, Nelson, within six calendar months from the date of the publication of this notice, that is to say, on or before the TWENTIETH DAY OF APRIL, 1858.
The widow or child of any person deceased, who would have been entitled to compensation under the Act, may send in a claim in respect of such deceased person.
Every claim must state the claimant's name and residence, the name of the ship in which he came to the colony, the grounds of the claim, the nature of the New Zealand Company's contract with the claimant, and the character and extent of the losses or damages sustained in consequence of the breach thereof.
