HIS Honour the Superintendent directs it to be notified that, in consequence of Her Majesty's birthday (a public holiday) falling on Sunday, the Government Offices will be closed on the following day, MONDAY, the 25th instant.

HIS Honour the Superintendent directs it to be notified that the undermentioned portion of the Waste Lands of the Crown within the Province of Nelson, as hereinafter described, has been RESERVED, in order that it may be laid out in Suburban Sections and sold as such, in accordance with the provisions of the Land Regulations of 1st July, 1856.

All the unsold Land within the block forming the town belt surrounding the Town of Waitohi, as laid down on the maps of the district of Waitohi.

HIS Honour the Superintendent directs it to be notified that the under-mentioned portions of the Waste Lands of the Crown within the Province of Nelson, as hereinafter described, have been RESERVED for various purposes of public utility, viz.:—

  1. Pelorus Valley; an island called Otamakehu, in the Pelorus River, containing about 19 acres.

  2. An island in the same river called Te Hau, containing about 20 acres.

  3. Section numbered 39, at the junction of the Makahinui and Pelorus, containing 64 acres—as a village site.

  4. A block of land on the western side of the Kaituna Creek, containing about 240 acres—as a site for a township.

  5. A block of land in Croixelles Harbour, on the neck separating that harbour from the Pelorus Sound, containing about 100 acres.

  6. A block of land forming the neck between Tekenepuru Creek and Mahon Cove in Queen Charlotte Sound, containing about 200 acres.
