All Public Notifications which appear in this Gazette, with any Official Signature thereunto annexed, are to be considered as Official Communications made to those Persons to whom they may relate, and are to be obeyed accordingly.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified, that in those districts wherein Boards have been elected under the "Country Roads Act," the said Boards are to send to this office an estimate of the probable amount of rate likely to be raised in such districts, in order that a part of the sum voted by the Provincial Council for main lines and other roads may be apportioned to them.
The Government is also ready to receive proposals for subscriptions towards the execution of special works, from those districts in which no Boards have been elected.
All applications to be sent in on or before the First day of September next.

I HEREBY certify, that ALEXANDER JOHN STEWART has this day produced before me his appointment as Assistant-Surgeon in Her Majesty's Royal Regiment of Artillery, and other documents, by which he has qualified himself as a Medical Practitioner under the ordinance of the Legislative Council of the Province of New Munster, passed the 18th May, 1849, in Session I., No. 2, intituled "An Ordinance to define the Qualifications and to provide for the Remuneration in certain Cases of Medical Practitioners."
