HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that the undermentioned portions of the Waste Lands of the Crown within the Province of Nelson, as hereinafter described, have been RESERVED for various purposes of public utility; viz.—
A block of land, situate in the Town of Nelson, being Town Section, No. 178; bounded towards the north by Section, No. 179; towards the east by Section, No. 180; towards the south by Hardy-street; and towards the west by Section, No. 176; containing one acre.
A block of land, situate in the Town of Nelson, being Town Section, No. 201; bounded towards the north by Bridge-street; towards the east by Section, No. 203; towards the south by Section, No. 200; and towards the west by Section, No. 181; containing one acre.
A block of land, situate in the Waitohi district; bounded towards the north north-east and east by the boundary line of the Native Reserve at Wai-Kawa, to the base of the hills, and thence along the base of the hills to the site of the Town at Waitohi; towards the south by the Waitohi Town site; and towards the west and north-west by the coast line from the Town site to where the northern boundary commences; containing about 300 acres.
A block of land, situate in the Awatore district; bounded towards the north by White Cliff brook; towards the east by the Awatore river; towards the south by the Bolton river; and towards the west by the summit ridge of the Stephens range; containing about 12,000 acres.

TENDERS will be received at this Office, or by the Deputy Commissioner of Public Works, Motueka, until the 30th of June, from persons desirous of contracting to execute the following WORK:—
Completing the Earthwork to White's Bridge, Riwaka.
Plans and specifications of the above Work may be seen on application at the Riwaka Hotel.
Sealed TENDERS will be received at this Office until Monday, the 25th instant, from persons desirous of executing by contract any of the undermentioned SERVICES, during the six months ending the 31st December, 1855:—
For supplying Rations and other Stores to the Gaol and Lock-up.
Also, Rations to the Hospital and destitute poor.
Also, Stationery to the several Government Offices.
Also, Printing and Advertising.
Also, Oil and Wick for the Port Lamp.
Also, Coffins for destitute poor.
Samples of Rations and Stationery will be required to be left at this office with the Tenders, and the Rations are to be sent to the Hospital and Gaol weekly.
Further particulars can be obtained on application to this office.
