ELECTION OF MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.

(PROVINCE OF NELSON, TO WIT.

WHEREAS a Writ, under the hand of His Excellency ROBERT HENRY WYNYARD, Esquire, Companion of the most honorable Order of the Bath, the Officer administering the Government of New Zealand, &c., &c., bearing date the Twenty-seventh day of May, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-four, hath been directed to me, JOHN POYNTER, Esquire, Resident Magistrate and Returning Officer for the Town of Nelson and Waimea Districts, requiring and commanding me to cause to be elected by and from amongst the Voters duly qualified for that purpose, freely and indifferently and in manner and form prescribed by law, One Person to serve as a MEMBER of the HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES for the TOWN OF NELSON, and One Person to serve as a Member of the said House for the WAIMEA DISTRICTS :

Now therefore I, the said JOHN POYNTER, do hereby, in pursuance of the said Writ, give notice that I appoint SATURDAY, the Seventeenth day of June instant, at noon, at the Court House, Nelson, for the NOMINATION of One Member for the Town of Nelson, and TUESDAY, the Twentieth instant, at noon, at Richmond, Waimea East, for the Nomination of One Member for the Waimea Districts; and in the event of a POLL being demanded for either, I hereby further appoint MONDAY, the Nineteenth instant, at the Court House, Nelson, for the Polling to take place for the Town, and WEDNESDAY, the Twenty-first instant.
